Bakermeister and Wildman got together for a little home
cooked Surf & Turf courtesy of Mamma W and guest star,
Jenna.
After dinner, the duo headed over to check out the
movies and headed to see Jumper,
which received mixed reviews. Aside from the
volume control issue in which the theater had the audio
set about 15 decibels too high, the movie provided decent
action and a plot that could have used improvement. Overall,
the movie didn't even come close to the Bourne Identity
or Matrix series, but it exceeded
our low expectations for entertainment.
Next in line was Boston
Beerworks for a pint of Boston
Red and Backbay IPA. Some babes were present at the brewery
and we noticed on the way out the Brigham and Women's hospital
gathering of some nurses, but they did not require mouth
to mouth resuscitation.
Next stop was Jillians for a classic round of Beer Pong.
As predicted, the tables were booked so another brewski
at the bar was in order for the waiting game. Ironically,
we almost waited longer for our beers than we did
for the pong table. Service was poor, although babes were
hot, young and aplenty.
One of the things I noticed about the Pong tables is I
think they may have been upgraded since our last visit
and were difficult to move. The tables had the unfortunate
bias of having the hanging lights almost directly above
our cups. Additionally, the paddles were in rough shape.
Baker's paddle was particularly bad and he kept displaying
the female anatomy of his paddle to the crowd. Speaking
of the crowd, we had a mixed crew to our left with one
hottie in red who was a bit flirty, but clearly taken.
A second group of four chicks arrived, but played the stereotypical "Ping
Pong" that
many women tend to play pong - - lots of slamming, laughing
and recklessness that makes me cringe about thinking of
ever inviting them to play the sacred game of Beta Pong.
To boot, two of the chicks were just not overly attractive
and it was unclear if they were sisters or lesbians. The
other remaining two were average or slightly above average,
but did not pay enough homage to Beer
Pong.
As for the main event, Wildman drew first blood with the
first sink. Then low and behold Baker came back with a
quick throwback and a two sink reversal for
a nice, up front rally. Was Baker going to extend this
lead to make up for his devastating
overtime loss previously at Jillians? Unfortunately
for him, this result was not in the cards. Wildman tied
it up 2-2 and got into the groove scoring an additional
7 points. Baker's only sink during this duration was on
a serve. As the game was winding down, Baker managed to
score the final point of the night. Overall, Baker was
a bit disappointed with his performance and we will certainly
give him some handicap for the weaker of the two paddles.
Nevertheless, Baker is still a virgin to Vegas World
Beer Pong and it is said that to take his game to the
next level, he must experience playing with the best of
the best. Until then, we'll leave Baker to his trial law
cases and save the beer pong cases for another day.
