July 4th Nantucket Island Beer Pong

The sticky summer weather even on island did not prevent the beer pong gods from pulling out the pong equipment to do battle once again. In the beer pong program Saturday were Amish Armegeddon, BakerMeister, Sukhenda "Intuit", Lisa S, Betty Boop and the Wildman. The humidity was hotter than the saturation of pong balls plunking the cups. Sitting in the crowd invoked sweating, let alone playing the intense competition on the beerpong table.

The Beer Pong match-up followed after a short whiffle ball venue between the titans. According to Baker, "The Rules Committee is crap consisting of Bill, who waffled on the rules." Was this perhaps the reason why Dave "The Mole" lost miserably in the tourney? After 2 lost balls - - big bertha on a foul ball into the poison ivy by Wildman and Amish, who was about to embark on his triumphant comback, hit a line drive to piyum who kicked the ball into the poison ivy.
The final Whiffle Ball Score ended: Pumice: 7, Wildman: 6, Baker: 3, Amish: 2.

Beer Pong faced off with a round robin of greylady beer pong rules, followed by doubles pong and then round robin greylady pong. In the end, it was a very close battle. Although this time, while we were not counting sinks that negated throwbacks, it was Mr. Mole who seemed to triumph in the number of non-negated sinks. It should also be noted that Baker was on fire having missed the Kaino Beer Pong II battle the prior week in which Baker's nemesis, Mr. Field advanced to the finals. Baker had lots of energy and firepower and his pong skills demonstrated that somewhat. In the Win column, however, it was a tie between Wildman and Amish. However, Amish gets the nod per the extensive number of throwbacks. Most Valuable player, however goes to Lisa S. for her valiant effort and 4 sinks on the table. In night time beer pong play, while others were engaged in the infamous "Go to Hell" card game, Baker and Amish faced off against the bugs and darkness to a 6-5 Baker volley.

In a late afternoon grudge match the next day in Beta Rules Beer Pong, it was Mr. Mole trumping Wildman 6-3 in end of beach day action. Soon after, it was Amish who rallied back to a 3-2 short and sweet victory over Baker.
