Table it, Sarge

May 28, 2004
(Somewhere on the road in Philly, PA)
Sarge "The Dragon " Mead needs to table this conversation - quickly.

Beer Pong - On the Table if you are Able
Philly Beer Pong host and organizer, Sarge "The Dragon" Mead is usually feared by many on the beer pong table. Next week, however, he may be the one with fear in his eyes if he cannot locate a pong table for the upcoming Philly Tourney. After months of preparation, the event organizer has stalled on efforts to get a table. The beer pong sub committee has questioned the Dragon's Motives.

In February, there was a flawed attempt at picking up a table at Home Depot. A food sickened Wildman Bill was useless to help in this crusade other than finding the regulation table dimmensions on this trip. But after getting a small piece of wood cut for a home construction project, The Dragon roared his anger at the poor Home Depot Employee to trash the board and cut him another board. (As this board was not cut correctly, the Dragon had to give him a few of "Sarge's tips". Why such a fuss, Mr, Dragon and did you forget to pick up the Pong table?) The Dragon also failed to bring a pong ball to Home Depot to test the bounce ability of the various types of wood density. The lack of net conclusion is that the Dragon decided to get the table from Tim "Drunk Meister" McKee in Boston.

The Boston Pong Table
The Boston Pong table (formerly of Southie) has served as a great resource at the Watertown abode for some practice play for the local pong heavyweights. But it seems that the "Dragon" failed to come up to Boston to retrieve the table as he neglected his fiduciary responsibilities.

Sears to the Rescue?
Rumor has it that the Dragon ordered a pong table from Sears.com. However the e-commerce site did not apparently let the angry dragon know that "Beer Pong Tables" were out of stock and back-ordered. Now with only 5 days remaining until pong time, the pong contestants wonder whether there will be Pong after all.
John "Kaino" Kain, mentioned he would help the cause by strapping a table on the top of his truck from Lancaster along with turkey hunting equipment and other assorted Pong gear. The contenders will vy for the top spot at the Philly Pong tourney on some sort of table - - at least they hope.
