Wildman Stuns Competition

May 1, 2004
(Watertown, MA)
In a preparatory game of Beer Pong in Watertown, MA, pong afficianado "The Mole" Baker hosted a practice session of beer pong in an effort to sharpen his pong skills for the upcoming Philladelphia Beer Pong Tourney on June 5th. The host with the most was certainly distracted from the game with a monday final exam in Tort Law, so the legal aspects of Beer Pong rules were discussed and thoroughly analyzed in this warm-up match. In attendence were Beer Pong experts Sheetz "Sheets Bitch/Responsible Sheetz " and Web Guru"Wildman" to round out this round robin tournament. Noteworthy contenders Amish "Amish" Amish III was absent due to a VT Ski Haus confilct and Chris "The Dragon" Mead had no excuse. Clearly avoidance means Sarge's Beer Pong skills may be lacking.

The Beer Pong Playing Field
The Beer Pong conditions were average. The Baker abode is well suited to outdoor beer pong. With the help of borrowing a neighbor's picnic table (unknowningly), we set-up the pong table and began the practice with a local beer pong favorite beverage - Natural light. Due to the lateness of the matches, the lighting was a critical factor and a neighbor's lamp was also borrowed to help with the brightness factor. Interestingly, the neighbor came out to witness our festivities and was in awe with the beer pong talents on the table. A final factor which the incumbents had to deal with was a chaotic wind pattern which seemed to give the edge to one side of the table.

Going into this practice, "Responsible Sheetz" was a clear favorite in spite of some jet lag and female distractions in the match. "The Mole" Baker was initially bent out of shape by Sheetz's 2-1 ranking for the upcoming Philadelphia tourney. Baker, meanwhile had odds of 15-1. Wildman at 8-1. Starting of the match, it was Sheetz taking Baker down for the first point. Then Wildman Bill stepped up to the table and could not be knocked down. His laser beam accuracy and geometrically perfect Beer Pong arcs sent his competition into a foamy demise. Sink after sink, Wildman stunned the Beer Pong competition. After the score was Wildman (6), Sheetz (1), Baker (0), the underdogs bitched about the wind factor and Baker suddenly had a quick sink to reverse the curse. Baker was unable to hold his own as Sheetz took Baker and man handled him like the lawyer he wants to be. But then Wildman came back for a nearly unstoppable streak by pounding the competition for another 8 successive sinks. The underdogs claimed that the wind was the reason for the Wildman pong domination. So after some complaints by the crowd, Wildman switched sides of the table and continued the domination.

Final Score

Wildman 17
Baker 3
Sheetz 2

Post Game Commentary
The result of this demolishing is a slight revision in the Beer Pong Odds for the upcoming tourney. Wildman's odds have been improved from an 8-1 to a 6-1, Baker has been elevated from a 15-1 odds to an 11-1. Responsible Sheetz's odds have been dropped from the leader 2-1 to a 4-1. Also rumor has it that the odds of him making the Philadelphia Beer Pong tournament are only 40%. Is he skirting the competition? Only time will tell if he is a man or a mouse. Next stop Philadelphia, then Vegas Baby Vegas!
