Beer Pong Profile - John "Insane" Kain
Beer Pong Profile - John Insane Kain

John "Insane Kain" was the host with the most. For starters, Kain is a vastly improved pong player over the past few years, who recently upped the ante last year in Philadelphia by making it to the finals at the Philly Beer Pong Tourney. In 2001, John hosted the original Beer Pong tournament known as the Kaino I Beer Pong Tourney in Connecticut. The Kaino I original web site (with Search Engine Optimization by BeerPongGuru.com) is internationally known across the web with its old school design and priceless beer pong paddles, pictures and video clips. On just under a four-year anniversary, Mr. "Insane" Kane decided to host the second Kaino II Beer Pong tourney at his new abode in Lancaster, PA.

The facilities were in immaculate condition. Kain outdid himself with a sweet food platter of pork, chips, baked beans and watermelon to help quell the ferocious humidity. Kain set-up the beer pong tournament with 2 tables in his large garage with a nice chalkboard to help maintain the scoring. In the backyard, Kain had horseshoes for the guests awaiting to play.

In beer pong action, Kain went into the first round with odds of 3 to 1 against underdog and long shot Field. Mr. Field, who was late to the game, had odds of 50 to 1 pitted against himself. In a baffling first game, Kain lost to the underdog in a stunning upset
3-5. A deflated host resumed to play in doubles with Vegas Partner Matro for some solid action later on in the night. Mr. Kain did not take home the doubles trophy inspite of his heroic hosting efforts - - especially with orchestrating the controvertial 36" Vegas simulated nets - - which intimidated most opponents. For what it's worth, Kain did have some retribution on the pong table. Friday night, Kain and Mattro had a doubles battle til 4:30 am with Wildman and Amish. After losing the first beer pong bout, the duo came back with a vengence against the Boston opponents sinking at least 4 times in a span of 30 minutes and getting the Beantown visitors to call "No Mas".

Kaino is a player to be watched in the future and especially at the upcoming 2005 Vegas World Beer Pong Championships.
